America's 250th birthday + Fourth of July (falling on a Saturday) = Great things to enjoy!
We've put together some of our favorite Fourth of July activities for your consideration
Friday, June 26
- The Monroe County Fairgrounds kicks off the patriotic season with a fireworks display. Gates open at 7:00 pm, $10/car admission.
Friday, July 3
- The Historic Bloomington Speedway will have a variety of races, plus a big fireworks event! Tickets are $18-39, and kids 12 and under are free.
- Emmanuel Church will have food trucks, outdoor games and activities, music and more before a fireworks display at the end of the evening.
Saturday, July 4
- Downtown Bloomington is the spot for the annual Fourth of July Parade (emceed by our own Jim Inman).
- Lake Lemon will have a fireworks display at dusk. $25/car admission.
- Ellettsville will show their patriotic spirit with a fireworks show near Edgewood High School. Free to attend, and donations are accepted.
